TISC skaters were out in Harriston this past weekend competing at the 2010 RSO Series finale.
The event, which saw skaters compete in distances between 300-meters and 10km’s, was held in ideal conditions.
TISC’s Jade Pauley set a series record with his 300-meter sprint in the high-26 second range.

Toronto’s Herb Gayle, who skates with the TISC and on the Hoigaard’s team, placed 2nd at the Hummel Park Inline Marathon in Indiana this weekend.
The race was part of the NROC, a North American race series. He leads the Pro Veteran Men’s division.
With big events coming up and big points up for grabs, the 2010 NROC season is heating up.
Headed into the September 5th Ottawa Inline Skating Festival & September 11th Northshore Inline Marathon, a number of TISC skaters are either atop in points in their divisions or in the running for excellent placements.
In the open women’s category, Candy Wong leads the pack while Morgane Echardour sits in 4th. In the open men’s category, Jesse Pauley & Peter Doucet are currently 6th and 7th. Georg Nikodym sits in 5th in the masters men while Herb Gayle and Morgan Williams sit 1st and 2nd in the veterans men.
September will be the final month of skating for the 2010 season at TISC.
Skating & practices begin at 6pm for all practices in September.
The RSO Series will hold its season finale in Harriston on August 29th.
Skaters will get to race on a fast 200-meter banked track, completing distances ranging from 300-meter time trials to 10km elimination races.

The August edition of the TBN Monthly Marathon is set for this Saturday at Hamilton Beach in Burlington. Meet at 8:30-8:45am and roll at 9am.
TISC members were amongst one thousand skaters in attendance at the 7th annual 24 Hours Roller Montreal.

This year’s edition attracted over 1000-skaters and 100-teams. The event help raised over $30000 in support of Quebec’s Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
Both 2nd overall and 7th overall teams- SpeedSkateWorld.com and The Toronto Inline Skating Club, were mostly comprised of TISC skaters. These excellent results speak volumes about the work ethic and talent pool at TISC.
TISC members & ex-TISC members were also part of a number of other teams, including the Flying Fossils, a team of skaters aged 50+ years old, skaters part of the duo team Hello Skatey, and members of Ekkip – Les poulettes sur Roulettes, an all female team.
