The 2009 Year End Party & Award Presentation were held this past Monday.

The evening celebration included the awarding of the 2009 awards. Congratulations to all the recipients.

  • Skate Of The Year- Morgane Echardour
  • Junior Skater Of The Year- Amanda Tickner
  • Rusty Bearing Award- Jay Brown
  • Most Improved- Georg Nikodym
  • Rookie Of The Year- Brock Howes

TISC End Of Year Party & Awards

TISC’s End Of Year Party & Awards will take place Monday November 16th at 6:30pm.

The party will be held at Scooter’s Roller Palace in Mississauga. [Directions]

Bring your family, your friends, and of course your skates & helmet.

TISC Skaters Take On Montreal’s Défi

A few TISC skaters recently traveled to Montreal to skate in the 128km-long Défi de l’Ile de Montréal.

Skaters who take part in the annual event skate on Montreal’s paths, streets, and side-walks.

Ed Leung, Alain Quintard, and Candy Wong were among TISC’s skaters at the start line. Leung and Quintard both managed to complete the entire 128km’s.

Toronto-area’s Joel Stitt finished with the lead-group of four skaters. They crossed the line holding hands.

The 2010 event is scheduled for October 16th.

Preparations For 2010 Season Underway- Plans Include Possible Change Of Venue & Updated Programme

The Board Of Directors is busy planning the 2010 season.

  • Plans are in the works to arrange for a change of venues for the 2010 practice, with the possibility of practices held at Humber’s 400-meter track and/ or at Mississauga’s Hershey Center.
  • We are looking at possible change of practice days. Practices will be held on two of the following weekdays; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • The 2009 TISC program is being revised. All feedback has been considered in planning for the 2010 program.
  • The 2009 End Of Year Awards party is tentatively scheduled for November 16th at 6:30pm at the Scooter’s Roller Palace. More on this later.
