Many of TISC’s skaters recently traveled to Duluth, Minnesota to skate in the Northshore Inline Marathon. The annual marathon, which attracts up to 3000 skaters, is North America’s biggest inline skating event and part of the 2009 NROC.
TISC’s star of the event was Sarah Hopkins who finished 3rd place overall in the Pro Women’s race. Hopkins, who recently moved to Calgary for the winter to train for long track speed skating, put together a strong finish to earn her position on the podium.
Other TISC skaters who skated well and placed near the top of their respective categories include Morgan Williams & Scott Pauley.
Pauley set a personal best in the marathon.
