TISC Skaters Dominate RSO Series

TISC’s skaters claimed the majority of the top placements in this year’s Roller Sports Ontario Outdoor Series.

The RSO Outdoor Series finale took place this past Sunday. Despite a very low turn-out, a number of final placements were decided, including the men’s and women’s top placement.

TISC’s Jesse Pauley claimed the top position in the men’s category by a mere 2 points over club-mate Peter Doucet. Paisley Perrie won the women’s category by a 1 point margin over Morgane Echardour.

Morgan Williams- Top 20 At Athens To Atlanta

Morgan Williams managed to place top-20 today in Athens to Atlanta. Williams finished in just under 5-hours 10-minutes in his first ever A2A.

A2A is a legendary event in which skaters race out almost 140km’s of Georgia’s rolling hills from downtown Athens all the way to Piedmont Park in Atlanta.

Greenfield Park’s (Montreal) Martine Charbonneau won her 2nd women’s title in as many years. She edged out Minesotta’s Rebecca O’Hearn by 1-second with a time of 4-hours 53-minutes 28-seconds.

Toronto’s Herb Gayle finished 2nd overall in the 52-mile event event, 2-seconds shy of first place finisher Robert Clare from Nashville.

TISC’s Aaron Arndt was unable to defend his victory from last year’s event. He is currently recovering from a broken leg suffered in a 50-skater crash in the World Inline Cup in Europe this past June.

New York 100k & NYC Skate Marathon- Candy Wong & Morgane Echardour Win 42k

TISC’s Candy Wong won the advanced 42km at the New York 100k & NYC Skate Marathon this past weekend. Wong, who skated the race in wet & rainy conditions in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park, skated a good race to take the win.

Morgane Echardour raced in the pro women’s 42km. She won the race finshing under 1 hour 30-minutes after skating with the pro women’s 100k racers. The women’s 100k was won by Quebec’s Martine Charbonneau.

The duo of Peter Doucet and Morgan Williams took to the pro men’s 100km race. Doucet skated a strong race setting himself as one of the strongest skaters in the competitive field. He finished 7th overall.

Morgan Williams surprised himself by staying in the lead group for 11 of the 19 laps. He managed to earn a top-20 finish.

The men’s 100km race was won in a two man breakaway by France’s Philippe Boulard, with his teammate, World Championships silver medalist Julien Levrard coming 2nd. A skater from Colombia was 3rd.
