TISC Skaters Strong In Mount Forest & Montreal

TISC skater took to the races in Mount Forest, Ontario on Saturday and then in Montreal, Quebec on Sunday.

TISC skaters were out in full force supporting the Trillium 10k in Mount Forest this Saturday. Peter Doucet and Sarah Hopkins took the top honours in the men’s and women’s race. Jesse Pauley, Morgan Williams, and Jade Pauley joined Doucet to help TISC colled four of the top-5 overall positions. Joining Hopkins atop the women’s overall podium was Melissa Maas. A crew of TISC’ers drove up to Montreal to compete in the Festival Roller De Montreal. Sarah Hopkins made it a double-victory weekend by taking the top position in the women’s race. She even finished with the lead pack! The race was won by World Cup Short Track Speed Skating Champion Olivier Jean. TISC’s Candy Wong significantly improved her personal best by 16-minutes, improving her time from at last year’s event at 1:43 to in this year’s event in 1:27. Trillium 10k- Saturday

The Trillium 10k is taking place this Saturday in Mount Forest. You can expect some fantastic post-race food. Last year’s event had fruit platters, cold cuts, chocolate fountains, and all sorts of pastries.


TISC Skaters In Germany & San Francisco

May 5, 2008

TISC skaters competed in Germany and in San Francisco this weekend.

Aaron Arndt took on some of the world’s best racers in the German Blade Challenge- Regensburg Marathon. Aaron Arndt finished 3rd overall after being involved in a 7-skater breakaway. This is Ardnt’s 2nd podium finish in Europe this season. You can find results here and a report here.

Morgan Williams faced a tough field, including USA’s World Champion Joey Mantia in the San Francisco Inline Marathon. He finished 18th overall. You can find all the results here.
